Chicken Curry

Preparation : 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Serves 4











Ingredients:

1 pound chicken
1 inch piece cinnamon
3 - 4 cloves
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 big onion chopped
1 medium tomato chopped
1 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon crushed ginger
1 potato
1 teaspoon chilli powder
2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
curry leaves
cilantro
salt to taste
oil


Method:


Heat oil in a Pan and add all the whole spices. Add chopped onions and saute until it turns transparent.
Add ginger garlic paste to it and saute until it turns golden brown. Add all the spice powders and saute until the raw smell goes and the color turns to dark brown. Cook in low flame to make sure the spice powder does not get burnt.
Add tomatoes to it and saute until the tomatoes are fully cooked and gets mashed. Add water to it and bring it to a boil. Add the chicken, potato and salt. Cover and cook in low flame until the chicken is completely cooked.
Add pepper powder and lemon juice to it once the chicken is fully cooked. Add coriander leaves, curry leaves and switch the stove off.
