ALOO SANDWICH
Ohhh...last saturday was one of those lazy boring days...Vino was out playing tennis and I had really nothing to do. I was thinking of some quick snack and thats when all the potatoes and bread came to my mind. I think I can call this a desi sandwich...
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Ingredients:
2 Potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup green peas
1 small carrot, grated
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 inch ginger, chopped
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon chilly powder
6 slices of bread
Cilantro
Salt to taste
Oil
Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add Onions and saute it until it turns golden brown.
Add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt to it and saute it well for little more time.
Add green peas and grated carrot. Cover and cook until done.
Add mashed potato and stir it well. Add garam masala to it.
Switch off the stove. Add lime juice, garam masala, cilantro and mix well.
Take a bread and spread the mixture on it.
Cover it with another bread and put it in the sandwich maker.
Hot and Spicy Aloo Sandwich is ready to eat...
Serve it with ketchup.
